• The Dagger Blog of YahooSports makes 68 predictions for the upcoming season, including No. 68, "Harvard will take advantage of the graduation of Cornell's big three, out-dueling Princeton to win the Ivy League for the first time ever."

• ESPN's team of college basketball journalists each listed what they are "looking forward to this season" with Dana O'Neil writing, "Picking up right where we left off. When we left the game of college basketball, it was wreaking havoc on our brackets. Northern Iowa eliminated Kansas and about 60 percent of the pool-playing households in the United States. Ohio University, Cornell and St. Mary's took care of the other 39. It was beautiful mayhem."

• Ballin is a Habit notes of the Ivy League Preseason Media Poll, "Cornell was not voted as the preseason selection for the first time in three years, but did receive one first-place vote. They lose their top three players from a season ago, as well as their head coach Steve Donahue, who took the Boston College head coaching position."

• The Arena Pulse writes of Boston College, "New head coach Steve Donahue comes to Chestnut Hill fresh off a Sweet 16 run with Cornell..."

• Rivals.com/YahooSports.com revealed their rankings of the nation's Division I teams from No.1 to 346. The Big Red, ranked at No. 189, are ahead of "power conference" teams such as Fordham (266), Hawaii (246), Tulane (229), Air Force (228), Houston (222), TCU (221), SMU (213), Oregon (202), and Rice (199).
