ARLINGTON, Texas -- The only thing CC Sabathia would like more than to finally pitch on normal rest in Game 5 of the American League Championship series is if his next start comes on 11 days' rest.Because that would mean the Yankees swept the Rangers and were off until Game 1 of the World Series.
"I'll take it in four," Sabathia said. "Definitely."
This series smells like a sweep after the Yankees crushed the Rangers' spirits with Friday's comeback from a five-run deficit that was Sabathia's responsibility.
If Texas can win a game, Sabathia gets his second choice.
"I am looking forward to being able to throw my regular bullpen (session)," he said, "and be in kind of a normal situation heading into my next start."
