Junior Seau was released from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, a day after driving off a cliff following an alleged domestic disturbance incident with his girlfriend.According to a representative from Scripps La Jolla Hospital, Seau was treated for cuts and bruises.
Police are still investigating the crash, which occurred late Sunday night. Seau allegedly hit his live-in girlfriend at his home in Oceanside, Calif., around 10:13 p.m. PT on Sunday, Lt. Leonard Mata of the Oceanside Police Department said in a statement. His girlfriend sustained minor injuries, but did not require medical treatment.
"The 25-year-old victim reported that Junior Seau assaulted her during a verbal argument," Mata wrote in the statement.
