ITHACA, N.Y. ? After dropping a pair of narrow decisions to Columbia to fall to 0-2 in Ivy League play, the Cornell men's basketball team will hit the road for its first true conference road weekend when it visits Dartmouth on Friday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. and Harvard on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. Barry Leonard will provide the call on 93.5 WVBR-FM and on the internet as part of the RedCast subscription service.
Cornell's struggles in tight games continued into a sweep by Ivy rival Columbia, as the Big Red's two losses came by a combined eight points. It was Cornell's seventh and eighth loss this season by five points or less. The team's 70-66 defeat at the hands of the Lions snapped a 22-game home win streak against Ancient Eight foes despite 16 points apiece by junior guard Chris Wroblewski and senior forward Aaron Osgood.
Wroblewski, a Bob Cousy Award candidate, continues to lead the Big Red in scoring (15.5 ppg.) and assists (5.9 apg.), while junior Drew Ferry is pouring in 12.3 ppg. and has hit 25 3-pointers over his last six games. Sophomore Errick Peck is averaging 14.4 points over his last 10 games and 10.6 ppg. for the season.
The Big Red will face teams on opposite ends of the Ivy spectrum, as the Big Green of Dartmouth are rebuilding under first-year head coach Paul Cormier, who returns to the Hanover, N.H. sidelines after 12 seasons as an NBA scout. Harvard's Tommy Amaker, however, has the Crimson atop the Ancient Eight standings and looking for its first Ivy title in program history. Both squads will be looking to avenge season sweeps at the hands of Cornell from a season ago.

Ryan Wittman capped off an outstanding weekend with 23 points, including five of those treys. He led four players in double figures, as Louis Dale and Errick Peck each had 14 points and Jeff Foote recorded 10 points. Peck made all five of his shots from the floor, including his only 3-pointer, and hit all three free throws while adding two rebounds and two steals.
