Cornell Basketball History: The Losing of 2001-2002

Above, a look back on the 2001-2002 Cornell season, Steve Donahue's second season as the Cornell head coach. The Big Red struggled to a 5-22 overall mark and 2-12 finish in the Ivy League, a step backwards from Donahue's first season wherein Cornell finished 7-20 overall (3-11 Ivy).

During the course of the 2001-2002 season, Cornell endured both 5 game and 7 game losing streaks. After the season, Donahue told the Cornell Daily Sun, "I would have loved to win more, but I also believe we'll look back on this year as one of the beginnings of the foundation that we wanted to have in terms of making this program successful."
